The knowledge session “Foundations of Workflow Management” organised by the Department of Computer Science of University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the ‘Section E3 of Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science’ was successfully held at the university premises on 10th January 2017.
It was conducted by Professor Arthur H.M. ter Hofstede, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He is a co-founder of the workflow patterns and YAWL initiatives and was co-recipient of the BPM Test of Time Award 2015.
The session was participated by the Lecturers of the Department of Computer Science, foreign lecturers and researchers and 4th year and 3rd year Computer Science students of the Department of Computer Science.
In the session, an introduction to YAWL and the workflow patterns was provided giving a deeper insight into the richness and complexity of business process automation
